 Some of my Puna Volunteer Projects:

 

 Sand Hill:
  • Actively participated in clean-up with Puna Friends of  the Parks, Puna Malama Pono, and Puna Outdoor Circle 
 A'ha'la'nui Park:
  • Helped develop the park as President of  Puna Friends of the Park
  • Facilitated solar power for the park
  • Personally put in many hours of hands-on work
  • Developed a safety assessment 
Hawai'ian Beaches Park:
  • Personally helped to build the annex for the operation of the "summer fun"  program Pohoiki:
  • Helped reconstruct the pavilion 
 Abandoned Cars:
  • Was instrumental in the removal of  abandoned cars in Lani Puna Gardens, Pu'uone, and other areas in Puna 
Ha'ena Beach Access:
  • Currently working to re-open the trail to Puna's only white sand beach

Solar Rebates:

Influenced Helco to give 1/3 of cost rebates for switching to solar water heaters
