Domestic Harmony Erupts in Hawaii as Hawaii County Council Proclaims a Year and a Month of Domestic Harmony Awareness *PlanetPuna* the Aloha Planet was the recipient of a Proclamation on September 24, from Hawai’I County Council, sponsored and presented by Council member Bob Jacobson, for a Year and a Month of Domestic Harmony Awareness from November 1, 2008 to November 30, 2009 and Celebrating November 11, as Domestic Harmony Awareness Day.

“Coming from Hawai’I Island where Mme.Pele is erupting new land and lava all the time we feel that the image of Domestic Harmony erupting, bursting forth is a good one”, said Ms. Newland.  “The newest Proclamation was read to Pele at the lava viewing area the evening it was presented.  She was erupting as we were reading!”

“ Hawaii County public servants lead the way yet again in the area of supporting Domestic Harmony Awareness, and we are very appreciative” said Founder Star Newland of the Domestic Harmony Awareness Initiative.  Proclamations come from Governor Lingle as well as the Mayors of all the Islands , State Legislators, County Council, and *PlanetPuna* and can be seen at:

This recent Proclamation has been sent to the National Counties Organization (NACo.org) of 3500 members to invite them to be part of the many eruptions of Domestic Harmony across the country across the upcoming year and month.  

“We have more programs added to the Initiative this year and will be creating Eruptions of Domestic Harmony whenever and wherever we can.  Upcoming are an event at a local shelter, sharing videos about gentle birth, proper mammal upbringings, giving talks about Domestic Harmony, creating concerts, student raves and local music events, neighborhood potluck/pod nights where neighbors and friends come together in harmony, have fun, and express their natural creativity.

Our Ambassador of Domestic Harmony is well known Hilo musician Randy Mattos, now working with the recently formed ‘Musicians and Performing Artists for Domestic Harmony’.  His work includes meeting musicians locally and beyond in his travels and signing them to our group and the Pledge to Live, Promote and Support Domestic Harmony, arranging concerts and events, creating new music. It is all for fun!  And yet we know that where our thoughts go, energy flows. Let’s all send it to Domestic Harmony.

We were at Pearl Harbor October 6 for a Domestic Violence Proclamation Signing Ceremony with Chief of Staff Captain Don Hodge, and to initiate work on the first ever ‘Navy Celebrates November Domestic Harmony Awareness Proclamation’.  We ‘talked story’ about the Domestic Harmony Awareness Initiative which includes Gentle Birth materials, dolphin attended birth and therapy and The Pod Project.
