We are honored to present Paradise Newland and Michael Hyson, PhD., internationally renouned dolphin and whale researchers from Hawai'i at this special gathering, billed as an official "Aloha Event".  Their gift is bringing people together with the "Aloha Spirit" and learning the "Cetacean Way of Being Together" as well as vital work with the late Dr. John C. Lilly, MD, and the Sirius Institute. You can also learn more about their efforts by going to: www.planetpuna.com.

They came to Malibu recently, in part, to establish a "sister city" type relationship with Malibu, with the mandate of their Mayor Harry Kim. They gave a presentation to the Malibu City Council which was well received and a resolution is being written establishing the connection of Hawai'i with Malibu.

Subject: Whale Day Events

Hello Friends,

We are calling all Whale Lovers to join us this next week (2/12- 2/18) for Whale Day to celebrate the whales and other marine life. Many new threats are endangering our beloved whales including: a May 22nd International Whaling Commission meeting in Japan where a vote to reinstate whale hunting could occur. Even with protection, over 21,000 whales have been killed since the moratorium on whaling began in 1986. In addition, whales are facing threats from Low Frequency Active Sonar (LFAS), loss of habitat, and ocean pollution. Help us end whaling and other threats, by participating in Whale Day events or by going to our web site: www.whaleday.com and taking positive action.

On Tuesday, February 12 from 10 A.M. - 4 P.M. we will have our 3rd Annual Whale Day Event at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) with booths and environmental speakers and many bands including: Michele Blood, the Mama Christy Band, Mad Cap Otis, Scott Huckabay and Damaru.

On Monday, Feb. 18 we will encore Whale Day at the Bob Marley Birthday Celebration at the San Diego Sports Arena with a huge reggae concert.

For more details about these events please go to www.whaleday.com or call 858-635-1322.

Please Forward this email to your email list and friends. We also need volunteer help and other support. Working together we can protect the whales and other marine life.

For the Whales,
