EVENINGS IN PARADISE

Malamalama Waldorf School Evenings in Paradise is a free monthly seminar/workshop series.

This month’s speaker will be Frank Trusdell, from the United States Geological Survey at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Mr. Trusdell is a field geologist who has combed the volcano searching for evidence that will help date lava flows and lead to better understanding of eruptive processes. His lecture will include slides illustrating some of his findings and geologists’ latest theories about Mauna Loa.

Lecture is on Thursday, January 17th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

The Evenings in Paradise program was initiated to offer a venue in lower Puna for scientists, artists, and cultural experts who can provide enlightening and lively lectures on topics ranging from education to natural history, local culture, and the arts.

If you are interested in receiving more information on the seminar series please contact the Malamalama Waldorf School at 982-7701.
